Printmaking

Practice & Learning

I completed my MA in Printmaking (passed with Distinction) at Arts University Plymouth) in 2021. The course gave me the freedom to experiment and to explore the relationship between theory and practice over two intensive years. It also laid the foundation for the direction of my work today—combining traditional print processes with digital methods, using my own photographs and drawings as source material.

I’m particularly interested in layering techniques and enjoy combining different matrices and processes to create one-off, unique prints rather than editions. This approach allows me to stay experimental and respond intuitively to materials as I work.

I’m committed to keeping my practice fresh and evolving. I recently took part in a monoprinting workshop with Jemma Gunning at Print in Action (April), and a lithography course using ball-grained aluminium with Catherine Ade at Elm Street Studio in Bristol. These opportunities to learn from other artists and expand my skills continue to feed directly into my creative process.
