Bio:

Viv Spencer is a printmaking artist based in Devon, UK. Originally from Wiltshire, she relocated to Devon in 2021 after a long and rewarding career in secondary education. She completed her MA in Printmaking with Distinction at Arts University Plymouth (2018–2020), where she developed a practice that blends traditional printmaking techniques with digital processes, often informed by her own photographs and drawings.

Viv works from a spacious home studio, where she enjoys experimenting with materials and methods. Her work is process-led and explores themes of nature, transience, and overlooked urban wildness. Alongside her studio practice, she runs workshops at RAMP (Royal William Yard, Plymouth), offering accessible and creative sessions in bookmaking and print-based techniques.

In addition to her art practice, Viv works part-time as a Specialist Mentor (SM-ASC) and Study Skills Tutor (SS-ASC), supporting neurodiverse students at Arts University Plymouth and the University of Plymouth—a role she finds both fulfilling and worthwhile.

Viv is a Co-Director of CAMP CIC (Contemporary Art Membership Platform), a member of the CAMP PrintKin group, and is also a member of A-N and Visual Arts South West (VASW).
